Personal stories

“In the years afterward, I fled whenever somebody began to understand me. That has subsided. But one thing remained: I don’t want anybody to understand me completely. I want to go through life unknown. The blindness of others is my safety and my freedom.” P. Mercier – The Night Train to Lisbon, my favourite book

I believe the art of storytelling is slowly becoming obsolete in our fast paced society, where most of us, including me, only share photos and check-in to places on social media to show where we’ve been. While this provides tiny glimpses into our lives and faraway places, it does not actually describe the experience we’ve had – all of us can take the same photo in the same exact place, but our moments will always be unique.

Much like my travel stories, these random stories describe the good, the bad and the incredible from my life that deserves to be told in full. I invite you to take a moment and relive them with me:
