I made an adventure game

I’ve recently started learning Python for programming online and one of the early course assignments was to create a simple old-school text game, so I thought I’d share it with you. Just go to the link below and then press Run on the green button to play (the site might be a bit buggy on mobile).

I bought the 100 Days of Code Python Bootcamp course by dr. Angela Yu during Black Friday discounts and so far it’s a great course. I already know Matlab for engineering applications, so I’m going through it a bit faster, because they’re similar, but I love the idea that you get to make a 100 projects in a 100 days. Apparently it goes really into professional use of Python at the end, so I’ll see about that, but the fact that you make something at the end of each day is quite motivating. It’s meant for complete beginners and I’d totally recommend it to anyone who has an hour a day and wants to learn something new, even if that’s not your field (not sponsored, haha). I find it unrealistic to do it every day though, so don’t feel bad if you won’t either.

Do you ever take courses on online platforms? There are lots of them (Udemy, Skillshare, Coursera, FutureLearn…) and you can find more or less demanding, free or cheap/discounted courses, but it takes a bit of digging to separate the gold from the dirt.

    1. Just click Run on the green button and it will show up. The website this thing is on is a bit buggy on mobile and it can be slow to start

  3. The giant ball of fire got me!

I like Python, it’s reasonably straightforward to learn but there is a lot you can do with it. Have fun with the course 🙂

    1. Thank you 🙂 yes, so far it’s relatively simple in terms of programming languages

  4. You amaze me. What an incredible mind you have! Just the very fact that you write like you do and English is not you first language has impressed me enough, but then there are all the other things….

    1. Haha thank you, you always write such nice compliments 😊
