Impressions #10: Memory

Sometimes when I get a random surge of creativity, I write short impressionist poems/stories. Since I don’t have much time for blog posts right now because of the home renovation, here’s another one:

Memory

Stopped mid-thought.

An unexpected smell, a familiar melody.
A trigger, a prick to the heart and you’re lost.

A sepia-toned recollection of good or bad,
a trauma, a safe haven, a moment of love.
Anxious breaths, a blush on your face, a secret smile.

A piece of the past firmly attached to the present.

P.S.: Remember that you can also buy my Impressions ebook with more such poems and thoughts HERE.
