Impressions #10: Memory

Sometimes when I get a random surge of creativity, I write short impressionist poems/stories. Since I don’t have much time for blog posts right now because of the home renovation, here’s another one:

Stopped mid-thought.

An unexpected smell, a familiar melody.
A trigger, a prick to the heart and you’re lost.

A sepia-toned recollection of good or bad,
a trauma, a safe haven, a moment of love.
Anxious breaths, a blush on your face, a secret smile.

A piece of the past firmly attached to the present.

P.S.: Remember that you can also buy my Impressions ebook with more such poems and thoughts HERE.

Buy me coffee and support my blog

Everyone knows engineers and bloggers are fuelled by coffee. Since I’m both, I need double the amount! Also, I don’t use ads, so I’m super grateful for your support. Thank you!

Buy me coffee if you like my work, I’d really appreciate it (:
