My podcast got the final bit: a logo

Check out the Erratic hat dragon logo by Mythical Creaturologist!

Today I’m adding the final ingredient to my upcoming podcast: the Erratic hat logo/cover image. Since it’s no big secret that I love dragons, the choice of motive was rather obvious and I also chose just the right artist to commission it from.

Imi is an artist from Italy who’s on the mission to draw every single mythical creature out there and she’s doing a brilliant job (go check her out!). I actually came across her efforts in an article on Atlas Obscura and have been a fan of her work ever since. She’s also a translator, a goldsmith and a really nice person, at least as far as I can tell from our interactions through Instagram. Anyway, I knew she would be the perfect person to design the world’s freshest (and best, in my unbiased opinion) mythological creature: the Erratic hat dragon!

Come check out the timelapse video of how she made it and enjoy some funky free music from Bensound.com:

The Erratic hat dragon is a rare beast indeed, because it only becomes such when a dragon puts on the Erratic hat. While Imi was sketching it, the hat deigned to stay in the form of a sun hat, but of course it can be anything, since it is erratic, after all. Apparently this dragon felt it wasn’t quite dignified enough, so he (or she? hard to tell with dragons sometimes) also has a monocle. Seems appropriate, as the podcast won’t just be full of stupid hat puns, but will cover serious topics too. Speaking of which, episode 0 will be out soon, because I need to get my podcast registered with all the podcast providers.

So, how do you like my Erratic hat dragon logo? I love it!

Buy me coffee and support my blog

Everyone knows engineers and bloggers are fuelled by coffee. Since I'm both, I need double the amount! Also, I don't use ads, so I'm super grateful for your support. Thank you!

Buy me coffee if you like my work, I'd really appreciate it (:
